| This is the view out of my window on the eleventh floor of my dorm.
The building I'm in looks just like the tower you can see to the right.
There are four of these dorms total. They area 13 stories tall with
a lounge and laundromat on the top floor. There are also lounges
with TVs everyother floor in my dorm. For some reason the other towers
don't have TVs. However, the others have high speed internet access
and I don't.
In the center of the picture you will see the Hawaiian Studies Center. It is a very nice building with open air theater and a new look. It has it's own library and is devoted just to teaching about Hawaiian culture and history. Apparently they teach wayfaring there, an ancient polynesian craft of navigating by stars, wave patterns and cloud formations. I have my Hawaiian Studies class here as well. |
